How cool is that? Good going Pat.
Awesome catch! Maybe this will be the year my boat gets back into action! Happy New Year!
Thanks Ted and same to you. As far as heads, there are so many good lure manufacturers in Hawaii you wouldn't have to buy from the mainland. I think you just summer here, so I am sure you could find lures on the mainland as well. In no particular order, Shiroma, JSI (have been very productive for us this past year), Tsutomu (Garrett makes some nice lures) and Morris Lures (Nick makes good lures as well) are some good quality heads that catch fish. I've heard good stuff about GAJI, but do not have any of his heads. I'm particular about keel weighted (runs upright), fairly heavy so not too much action. This is what works for us, you would get many different answers the more people you would ask. One other production lure always good to have is the "Purple Softhead", it's a very versatile lure that catches all the Pelagics; senior wide range in purple silver over black.
Thanks to the S.M.U. Team
Thanks James, Happy New Year to you also. Wishing you a great 2014.
