Good going Pat. Just out of curiosity, how often do you go out and not catch an ahi?

Thanks Jonny, probably somewhere around 75% of the time (we don't get an ahi). If we can find the porpoise (certainly doesn't happen all the time) that number probably goes down considerably, probably 50% or less that we don't catch. And probably somewhere around 25% of the time we don't get bit.
The Leeward Coast of Oahu has been an interesting fishery the last few years. Most noticeably, less numbers of Opelus (still can get 'em) and alot less marlin action; on the opposite side of the coin, the porpoise seem to hang around from Sept right up thru May. Let's hope and pray I didn't just jinx that.
