Recent score: Skunked
Location: The Condom
Gear: Tac 20, Pen VISX 50, Jig Sticks
YTD On My Boat: 50 tuna, 46 BF, 4YF
Biggest YTD: 285# on the scale
Goal: 300#+

We went out 11-25-2020 with very low expectations on this trip hoping to catch that last BF tuna before season ending and the expectation was so low that I did not even bring my typical 8 cans of Coors :). We got skunked but over all it was a blessing season with so many BF in our Socal waters. Water was around 61-63*, no bird, no bait or dolphins between Tanner and the Condom so we cut it by 2pm then headed to SCI for some Calico fun and fish god gave me one baby calico. The weather was so calm and for the first time we were able to run full throttle at 42 [email protected] 5,200 RPM the whole way back and did not know my Parker 2320 could even go that fast.

Happy Thanksgiving to all !!!

Thanks for another awesome report. Full throttle to get back, that is once in a lifetime! We are thinking of trying offshore in San Diego next week, maybe the bluefin will show up down there in better volume than this week.
We caught about 20 of those same size calicos last trip to Catalina and that is not a skunk trip, that baby calico fish counts. :-)

Hopefully running hard will get the rings to seat correctly to eliminate the oil making problem with the F300.

You are right, It was easier in May and June because there were no sport boats to compete against.
