Went out this past Sunday again with low expectations and headed south hoping for tuna. Left San Diego Bay around 4am in pretty good fog and a scoop of bait. The fog didn’t clear until we got just past the 425. We checked a few patties around the 425 area for nothing. We then headed about 30 miles south just beyond the hidden bank looking for warmer water. We basically found 3 different patties loaded with yellowtail but no yellowfin to be found. We probably caught and released close to a 100 fish. Fly line and colt snipers. Still a fun day and we wore our arms out. Water temp was around 65 degrees down south.
