Also, has anyone tried the Duran DFP surface iron? I like the idea of CNC jigs so you can know that each one will swim the same. But I wasn't that impressed with the OCT jig I bought a while back . . .

So you don't like the OCT? - DM me and I will refund your money. I stand behind my jigs 100%. So let me know and I will make it right. Cash back or help you fish the jigs better so they work for you. contact me.. Jeff - OneCoolTuna

Sadly, if they all swim the same, if one doesn’t swim…

Idk. I gave up on limiting jigs and trying to put them in trays…
Then there’s bombs, flatfalls, trolling lures…
Just need a jig case from Mark Mayo;)

I never suggested limiting jigs and love wood boxes.

Don't see how that stops the clacking. Like a iron wind chime. But new jigs will look like they have caught fish before

Have you had success with the red crab colored jigs? I have some but have never seen anyone using them, so I don’t. Guess I’m a follower and not a leader.

They’re the first thing I tie on when yo yo fishing. I do very well with them from the Coronados to San Pablo to the ridge. Even caught a wahoo on one last week. A guy was asking me about them on my trip, dug in his tackle box and found a 6X jr in red crab, used it at the Thetis bank and caught a 35 pound class fish.

Sold my Parker. You can find me on the Red Rooster.
Somewhat related: How much color can fish see at 200 feet? Does color really matter? I use the same three colors all the time -- scrambled egg, blue/white, and occasionally red crab -- but often wonder whether these jigs are interchangeable on the bottom.

On an overcast day, fishing deep, I use a JRI 66 glow jig. Seems to work.
