I jumped on the truline Friday night for an overnight trip to sci to chase tuna.
100% love the boat the let us vote on yellowtail/bass or tuna. We voted tuna.
Stopped at the island pretty early and fished into the morning with 0 bites.
Then around 9am we saw a giant school of dolphin chasing bait and went to check it out.
First stop and 3 yft came over the rail, we chased them through the morning hooking up 3-4 every stop with a lot of casualties, which to me was very strange considering the size and gear on the boat.
Yft averaged 20-45lbs, ate 50lb floro no problem. My hot stick was a 50lb set up with a 4oz sinker and a nose hooked sardine, size didn't matter. Let a bait go on the slide and it was bit around 50-60 ft every time. Go get em
