Left SD bay around 730am and headed south down Mexico way. Ride out was a little choppy but laid down big time by the time we passed the Islands.
Got to our spot and conditions were perfect, calm and no wind. Since we decided to forgo getting live bait we fished nothing but jigs, artificials, and squid.
Drift after drift produced a variety of quality critters including big lings, sheepshead, whitefish, red vermilion, checkers, sculpin, starry’s, cabezon, and bonita. Whole squid pinned on did the trick for me but misc. iron and jigs were working for my other 2 amigos.
Wind started picking up around 130pm so headed back home stopping at the middle grounds on the way then back to the dock by 3pm.

Peace,

Spyder
