Some of you may remember my last report from October about the demise of my dad's boat. Well fortunately he replaced it with a new (to us) boat. So we decided to take it out for a little fishing/getting used to the new boat.

Here's a shot of the new ride:

Two 8" Simrad touchscreen NSS 8's new in 2013 with radar (4G), chartplotter, depthfinder and autopilot

Needless to say my dad is STOKED:

We launched out of Alamitos, got some bait from Nacho and worked a few halibut spots for not a whole lot. First fish on the new boat:

Looking forward to putting thousands of hours on that boat. Should be a great ride for a very long time.

When you upload your pic file while making your post, you need to search out the pic you want in your post, then put the arrow over the picture you want to post, and left click and hold the button/key down and DRAAAG the picture over your post and then let off the button/key.

You should see the picture load below your post, and once it's done keep picking out more pictures and repeating till you have all you want. Remember, you MUST click, hold the button down and DRAG the picture into the post.

Now you take the cursor and click on the post where you want your pic t show.... make sure the blinking line is where you want the pic......... now place the cursor over the picture you have saved and want in the post and double click...... it should show up on your post right away. repeat until finished.

Then again, they may have changed everything with all this work they are doing to the site. Hang in there...... you'll get it figured out eventually LOL

Pictures look just fine, welcome back Glendon!
Where's my hat!?:)

Let me know if you'd like to potentially pre-schedule for next season Lobster Opener with your Son?
I'm going to assume he's not gone yet, so if you'd like a boat for you and he to ride on lemme know, already have 1 night laid out for another kid.
Just Offerin'.
On the Halibut side of things he's gunna need a BEEG one outta the gate.
Seems there's some of them to your south along the OC and SD coasts.
Been thinkin' 'bout corrupting THAT neighborhood, hide the critters and fish!
This must have been a great Christmas present for You, your Dad, and your Son..
R U thinking of hopping the fence to hunt bugs to your north?
Let me know, as it doesn't matter if it's flat and brown or sharp and red . .been chompin!

Would definitely be interested in a kid trip with you next season for bugs. Appreciate the offer. Probably won't be hooping this season. Gotta replace a lot of stuff to get back into that game. And we want to get the feel for the new boat first.

It would be great to get my son a big butt. He and I tag-teamed (I hooked it and helped him reel it in) about a ten pounder last year. His biggest so far. I still haven't gotten one over 20 yet either. So hopefully we can both get one. Or tag-team another one.

We're going to hit Dana Point Sunday in search of them. You going this weekend?
