Headed to the grounds Tuesday night on a 1.5 day. No meter marks until 7AM or so, so flat falls at grey light were not an option. First 3 stops yielded 9 BFT in the 20-40lb range. Started trolling and hit 3-4 kelp patties for limit style fishing on rat yellows (mass chaos with a full boat). Nothing else the rest of the day except the hail mary stop at around 7PM where we boated another 13 before it got too dark to fish anymore.

Fish were much smaller than the weekend reports. 20-30 flouro, tiny hooks, a bait that swam and a perfect cast away from the boat was the ticket as the fish would not get near us. Slower fishing for sure but i managed to pick one off just before dark so all in all a good trip.

    Tribute crew is top notch.

Definitely a smaller grade fish than a week and a half ago. Hats off to the Tribute crew , top notch crew that never gave up. limits on yellowtail and a sundowner bite . Definitely needed lighter line and fluorocarbon. Last trip we were getting wrecked on 30 lb. this trip seemed to be the hot ticket . The Tribute crew always give 110% and Chef Dan always keeps us well fed. If your going on the Tribute be sure to sign up for the Meal Plan ( you wont be disappointed) IMG_1454.PNG
