I found the Pacific Queen to be a awesome boat, ridden it about 3 or more times a year going back last couple of seasons. 1 1/2 Days are my choice trip, and these guys usually beat the fleet in counts. However, I have always fished with Captain Drew.

Same thing happened last Sunday the 17 th. on the overnite trip on the Toronado. We did not stop for more than five minutes and went for a long boat ride way to the south. They got fish the day before fairly close. The Captain "left fish to find fish", but never found the fish again. ...36 of us never got ONE bite....I am a long time fisherman and I can always accept that sometimes you just do not catch'em . But this whole trip was spent riding and not fishing...That sucks...Oh it could have been "one and done" on the stops.....Not to be....No Love....love the Toro but this trip was Bad. I am sure all on board would agree.
I really like the Pacific Queen and the crew. Gavin is the best . Period.

Also the shop and processors are not open so the people that rented anything or wanted fish processed would have to wait till 6 as well.

the boats all have to fill out a trip report for F&G, and report it to the landings...my guess it is the landing itself that decided not to print the report of one bad day on what is normally a top count boat...landing makes it's money off of ticket sales same as the boats...

They are on a 1.5 day. Count will not be posted till tomorrow afternoon. Although they do have a 250+ lb bluefin on board.

i heard a few years back after limiting out close by on a 1.5 day, a reputable boat and capt asked if everyone wanted to get in early. all passengers agreed. of course the next day ONE guy asked for a refund claiming that he did not get what he paid for. since then this capt. never offered it again.
im assuming this was before the rules were in place with regards to the port
