i fish the record 60 size. seems like it has the power for small yellows and tuna. if you fill it with 50 pound spectra it mite have the capacity for shallow water rockcod and small albacore.

Im looking to get a harbor rod blank for under $50. What I generaly throw are 1/8-3/8 ounce lead heads. I would like the blank to be 7'- 7'6 and rated 8-17 or somewhere in that area. gonna have split grips and paired to an ambassadeur 4600. remember I am on a student budget. Any suggestions?

rig 1- calstar or seeker 196-8 with a newell 220. 15-20 pound test rig 2- seeker 270h with daiwa saltist 30t 25-30 pound test rig 3- seeker 6470 with avet jx 40 pound test and if u want to troll penn 6/0 with a 30-80 or 50-130 rod with 80 pound test. IMO your set for anything local with these.
