Stick with it. Learn the triple surgeons knot for mono - floro leader so you can tie your own gear. And ensure your drags are set properly. A tight drag will pop line every time!!!!!! Rinse and repeat

Had this built for west coast style (not as deep as the east coast or gulf with less current) 8# is the sweet spot. Checking bottom was very knowledgeable and doesn’t mind having a conversation even if not ordering it’s worth giving a call just for the info.

I rotate my two Lexa 400s between 80h proteus for tossing popper and stick bait and then on inshore bass rods for halibut and calico it is loaded with 65 braid and will tie 15-130 floro to it depending upon application.

Any of those you listed are great knives . Keep them sharp and go with what feels best in your hand.
