    Tilt \ Trim motor Troubleshooting

I didn’t do that, since I had cut the blue and green wires at the tilt motor and checked for voltage at that spot... hindsight, I could’ve cut it at the splice, closer to the relay box and tested it to direct power that way.

I was always taught to sample before you buy. Not all irons, specially Tady, Salas, etc are created the same. Some have more action than others and some just don’t swim at all. Always spin them by the top O ring to see if they spin freely, before buying them.
  438. Secutor54

I’m referring to spinning the jig by the O ring to see if the hole stops the jig from spinning. Make sense? I just bought these last night and have not had a chance to sling them yet to see how they swim as of yet. I prefer kicking jigs, as well. Hope that makes sense.

    Trailer Bearing Q&A???

So, one of the times the bearing was completely gone! The only remaining parts were the seal and races and just scraps of the failed bearing. I do have bearing buddies installed and the spindles are tapered.

If it don't fit, you mustah quit!

For sure. I was thinking about mounting it on L brackets to be able to mount and dismount it. I am actually considering possibly going with a pet food kayak container tank setup... When I had my kayak, I was able to fit approximately 12-15 pieces of bait. The cool thing about those is that they...

Thank you. I gained cold start function with this control. Boat is almost done... Looking to reconfigure t-top to lower center of gravity and also add live bait well. Thing is, im on the fence about adding a 12 gallon bait tank cause it may end up taking to much space and adding more weight on...

    Throttle stuck

If the cables are old, I'd say it's probably time for a new throttle cable... From what I've read, it's not worth the trouble relubricating them. Especially, if they've built up rust or corrosion over the years. Two cents...

    1988 OMC J110 TLCCA Tilt/Trim

Is it typical of Johnson/OMC Tilt/Trim to operate up/down in sequence? I have an 88 OMC J110 TLCCA out board and Ive noticed that the rods and cylinder go up/down in sequence and it takes a bit for it to engage. The hydraulic motor sounds good and seems to be working fine. Thanks in advance.
