All great info guys. Living up by Morro Bay we see alot of variable weather. I use a few different sites to see what coincides with each other. I commonly use www.17ft.com as well as pinpoint forecasts from NOAA. But also use Bouyweather and check bouy reports north of where I am fishing.

That is one of the reasons I am looking at a Davis. They do hold their value well. But I also think they have the best/widest walk around footwell. Large V berth and built very tough. There are better uphill boats but that always comes with a penalty, poor fuel mileage.

Thanks for the replies. Power is 250 hp 8.2lt turbo Detroit Diesels. The one strange thing about this boat is that it runs more efficiently when the bow is pushed all the way down with tabs. The boat does not run bow high with out tabs but does pick up 2-3 knots when you use the tabs.

Looks like we have a great weather window this weekend. Has anyone looked at that plume of warm water of the backside of Anacapa/Santa Cruz? The RipCharts site shows good water temps, clorofil and water clarity at 34.50 and 119.30 There should be something on that break.
