Rad wife! New boat given the go ahead.

And on another note any trailer that exceeds 10k technically you are required to have a commercial class a license in order to tow it.

Rad wife! New boat given the go ahead.

Anything over 8'6 requires a wide load permit and wide load banners in California. You also can get a one day permit.

    Let's see those Farallons!!!

Having a inboard is just my preference, I really have no experience owning a boat with a outdrive, I'm sure they have improved over the years, your 27 is a beautiful boat. After all it is a Farallon

    Let's see those Farallons!!!

Who wants to replace the outdr Remember that when you have to replace the outdrive, lucky to get 900 hours out of them behind a diesel, unless it's a konrad

    Let's see those Farallons!!!

Yes, going to keep the bracket and see how it goes, I really like the layout of the boat really comfortable. Is your 22 8'6 wife? All of the 25's are 8 feet.

    Let's see those Farallons!!!

No, my tanks and prop shaft were changed out a few years ago, going with the yanmar because of weight. A new yanmar 8lv with gear is around 30k and will fit right in place of the old 454

    Let's see those Farallons!!!

If those are your two choices I would definitely go with the Cummins, it's a big project to repower a boat. You might as well replace tanks while you're at it. You will also have to replace the 1 1/8" shaft that came with your boat

    Let's see those Farallons!!!

My boat has a straight shaft, I have owned a 25 farallon with s Cummins it was a incredible boat never had any issues with it, the yanmar is pretty much a drop in replacement for the 454 that is in the boat now and quite a bit lighter than the Cummins. Check out the yanmar 8lv pretty impressive...

    Let's see those Farallons!!!

I have had several Farallon's over the years, by far one of my favorite boats. I'm going to repower the 27 with a yanmar 8lv 370hp.
