Treble hooks... maybe why it came unbuttoned... maybe... I have that problem when I hook tuna using a popper with trebles. Anybody else have that same,, "Good" problem to have.. Cool picture...

Very nice catch... We also marked fish Wednesday and Thursday at Ana,, but couldn't get them to bite...went 10-15 miles offshore for nothing.. my buddies went back yesterday did the same thing and got 3 yt's at Ana and yellowfin tuna (10 lbers) offshore ..tuna were with the dolphins...

Just wondering what make a Yellow Tail a "Home Guard" .. besides the size. Do tails all migrate, and then when they get to a certain size they make an area home..? Are there two types of Yellowtails one that migrate in large schools and one that just " home gaurds" and stay..

I just drove up from malibu to oxnard,, conditions looked nice huge kelp forests,, saw two comercial boats at leo carrillo.. otherwise no boat pressure or kayaks.. I guess they are all at the 150... those kelp forests have got to be holding some tankers,, yt.. just wanted to share what I saw...

If the go out of channel island harbor.. you can get bait at cisco's and ask a few questions... I would start at the arch at ana capa if the current is right I've caught yts on slow troll and iron (previous seasons) then make your way to cat rock area, all the time checking for metering fish and...

Yup your so right. I asked and kept asking ( it's mine) Great boat. Met seller at channel Island harbor and went fishing at Ana, Came back with a 26 inch butt. The boat went right through the chop at 20 kts on Sunday like a tank. Stamas boat are still being built by same family 60 years later...

I was thinking of buying in bulk #50 or # 60 spectra and spool all my reels with. And using 25 to 40 top shot depending on the fish. I'll be mindful on setting the drag on my penn 500l jig masters. So # 50 or 60 and had anybody bought braided line off eBay? (hong kong)

Carl What's the reason behind not using spectra on the 500s if I'm using them for rock fishing. I was thinking less stretch more sensitive.

I have three daiwa sealine x40sha, x40ha, x30sha. Also 2 jig master 500s. What size braided line should I use. The jig masters I'll probably use for rock fishing and the diawa's will be used for local wsb, yt and tuna. Thanks
