I was getting on the Shogun the day you were getting off the boat . We ended our trip with 13 Wahoo I was able to snag 4 of them on bombs . Heard what happened hope everyone on your trip is well

I was on the trip that returned this morning the bite was full speed on them YT from 2-3 a.m . We got 210 that first night at the bank

My 25N lasted 3 wahoo before the handle broke off fighting the 4th casting bombs. Never had any problems with my Penn’s other than that

There’s no easy access on the 25N like the Tranx . It does have a cast control nob which I don’t care for because it makes the handle stick further away from the side plate . But man these things got some good freespool

Same way I rig mine but with a 10/0 7691 and a 7/0 monster assist at top . My last 4 BF only had the assist stuck in the mouth area

I’ve been to the island 5 times on the Shogun and still haven’t fished the weather side . I just received an Email today saying the Shogun isn’t going to Guadalupe because of 30kt winds . Everything I’ve looked at says 13kt and below Friday and through the weekend

I’ll be on the Shogun for this New Years trip . It’ll rain on Thursday till about 1 or 2 then clears up . The weather at the island shows rain and 20mph winds but no rain and wind starts to settle down by Friday when we arrive .. it’s gonna be a good trip :D

For that size fish I like the Yo-Zuri sashimi bull or the regular bull pop 150's . The Halco Roosta 135 is also a good one
