Maybe they are from a different coast where you cannot process at sea, such as the Gulf Coast.
I just can't grasp why East Coast and FL guys ask their questions on a West coast board. Different types of fishing, especially when you say...
That's approximately what the credit card companies charge them. No different than sellers on this site wanting the buyer to pay the PayPal charges.

And the car rear ending comment isn't always true either.
FYI, the line IS the rode. i.e., The rode (also known as anchor cable) is what connects your anchor to the boat.
Actually that wasn't Alan Tani, it was Alan Chui of Pro Challenger.
You better hope not. They are talking about giant squid, not dinky Humbolt's. Giants can run 30 to 40 feet long.

What pound test does this fish best?
I don't know why this is so hard to understand. If you're using poppers, you need a real popping rod, not just any spinning rod. Popping rods are...

State water red snapper is open all year. Port Mansfield is a good place for that. Kerrville is closer to Port Aransas or Mansfield than Galveston.
Try posting on 360tuna.com or 2coolfishing.com, both TX boards. Probably have better luck than posting on a CA board.
Thanks. It needs to be 3" wide
Not to close to Kemah though.
I've bought a bunch from this guy. Nice heavy duty covers.
It appears to be a transducer that can be raised or lowered for use.
That's one of the reasons.
I never go smaller than 10's on SW rods, for many reasons.
I need a spool for a Tiagra 50. (not a 50A or 50W or 50WA) TT0310 or TT0561

My point exactly
I keep hearing how hard deckhands work. Isn't that their job?

The whole part about the braid. It made no sense, just like having two rating doesn't.
The PE rating has to do with the diameter of the line, not the lb test. It's roughly 100+ lb line, but 55lb max drag could be 165 lb test.

Front mounted recievers are great. They also help out when launching by getting the back tires out of the water and slime. Here is a selection....
When you reassemble the reel, the lever has to be in the freespool postition to seat correctly. Otherwise, the lever will bind . Forcing it can...
Didn't know that. My bad
The TM 260 won't work with the 741xs. You need the TM265LH or the TM265LM
Take all the fixin's and make ceviche out of some of the first fish, unless you are tuna fishing, then make poke. Chips of course
How many miles offshore does your policy cover? Better check it.
I've done this very thing on B series reels (Boss Magnum's), so I don't see why it wouldn't work on the BX. Don't forget to swap the pinion gears....
Aren't those called PFD's (Personal Flotation Devices), and not PDF's (Portable Document Format)
1. Personal choice. No real advantage to either. I prefer conventional for jigging and spinning for popping (mostly). Very narrow conventionals...
With all my testing, I've never found more than 2 lbs difference between off the reel and through the rod, and usually less (using spectra). Your...
Nope, 500 size works just fine. Amberjack may be a different story but I've landed them on a Penn 4/0. I use 500N's for vertical jigging and a...
The spray stuff is, as it says on the can, a sealant, like for windows or what ever. Floatation foam is different. It usually comes in 2 part...
"By your command"
Only 1000 made, huh? I guess I'll keep my BNIB 113MTL for awhile. Great reel, with Versa drags
Which Rail Boss?
Try asking on www.360tuna.com or www.2coolfishing.com in the Bluewater board, you'll have a better chance of an answer. IMO (and it's just my...
Iphone 3G on up have gps in them. They don't need cell service. Navionics is great but I would still like to have at least a handheld
Thanks for your kindness!
Actually I wasn't looking for the RB guides and I already knew about them. The guides I'm looking for are from way back when,...
I keep seeing statements like this that make no sense to me. I/O not OK, inboard is OK. So tell me, engine wise, what is the difference? Same...
I'm hoping someone might have one of these laying around. I need 1 or 2 #12 Fuji CRHG or CRNG 3 foot guides. I could use a #16 low or even a #16...
What engine is that? Looks like a GM 4 cyl with a 4 barrel carb.
You can get an Icom M412 in that price range if you shop. Get WM to price match or buy at Cabela's
They can't sell new ones any other way
Icom or Standard Horizon radio and a Shakespheare (5225) or Digital antenna. Don't skimp on the antenna, it's the most important part.
One minor point. Galveston Party Boats and Williams Party Boats are not charters, they are headboats. They can be chartered but are very expensive...
Strange but my experience has been just the opposite. Every boat I've owned has been an I/O or IB. Almost every boat I've seen broken down was an...
Pro Gear sells on ebay as "socalfishingtackle"
My old Chris (70's) had a thick, cast iron oil pan for that reason. If you are running a Chevy, check them out
Rowlett Creek can be great. It has many entry points. Counting from the lake: Miller St bridge, between Rowlett Rd and Centerville (fairly good...
You would do better asking on www.2coolfishing.com, www.360tuna.com or www.texasfishingforum.com
Here is the upgrade kit:
The whole thing or just the nip?
Sabine is very different from Pt O'Conner. I wasn't kidding about 20' to 30'. Check a chart. The rigs at 9 mi are actually in 40' of water but...
I want to know where you are going to catch AJ, warsaw, or even red snapper, 9 mi out of Sabine. What's the water depth, 20-30ft?
The sand bass fishing in the creeks is during the spawn, which appears to be going on right now, judging from the number of cars parked at the...
Plano is by Dallas in North TX. Lakes all around. If you head north to the OK border, you have striper fishing at Texoma. Due east of Plano a few...
First let me say, I have both, 5 Avets and 9 Accurates. I don't understand the statement " if you like to maintain your reels yourself then the...
It's my understanding that you match the rod rating to the size jigs you are using, i.e., a 300g rod for 225g to 400g (8 to 14 oz) jigs. I usually...
Starring Spenser Tracy, I believe. Sort of a monolog with Tracy talking to himself and/or the fish
Like a 400N maybe?
aluminun all the way
Digital also makes a great antenna, many think is better than Shakespear. At least an 8 ft, with a 6db gain is what you need. A 9db would probably...
Is this still available?
If you tighten the drag on an Avet much past spec or to the point the handle gets hard to turn, you will crunch a pinion or right sideplate...
What are you vertical jigging for? The SXJ doesn't hold much line (if heavy line is needed) and doesn't have much drag.
Mine wasn't. I had enough room between rudder and prop (barely). The reason they don't back straight is propeller torque. They will back to the...
They're a good bunch and it's a good time for tuna, weather permiting. Several things you should know. They will stop and bottom fish on the way...
Go to Avet and get the smaller seat. $20 I believe.
I do that in motels on out of town fishing trips. Usually get the reel covers, rod covers and me along with it.
Of course it had a sink. I would unload rods and reels first and put them in the pool. Next unload the boat, then swish the rods and reels around...
Go on Accuratefishing and look at the manual for the E series reels. They have a chart that shows spectra + topshot. It's a 30 lb topshot though....
I've dunked my reels for 35 yrs, usually in a swimming pool when I lived in an apartment and they still look and act like new. Most (but not all)...
The only fly in the ointment is he is correct in everything he says. On the Third Coast, Lowrance isn't realy a choice. It's Furuno, Garmin, and...
The Clear Lake/NASA area comes to mind, right off I45 south, in fact, probably any of the towns along that corridor, Up to and including the Tiki...
Actually the sales tax is 8.25 in most of TX(the cities have the option on the other 2%) and they are removing rigs at a frezied pace, but it...
I suspect that Airmar makes the Furuno diplexer
Got any pictures? What version (Boss, Boss magmun, etc)
Perhaps a misspelling of hullsides??
would you consider shipping?
How about some pictures. What generation reel is it?
But upgraded with the Boss Magnum side plate
