    Stringari 20 “ A Clean-up”

Hey Mike-That bow pulpit is looking pretty good I might want it back, lol Interesting how the Stringari hull is rock solid and thick as heck but the interiors were not put together so well. Thin wood and lots of glue and screws. Now that mine is gutted I am going back with 3/4 ply and lots of...

The trailer that came with the boat was the original trailer and had been modified so many times it was beyond repair. I priced out a new trailer and opted for a clean used one instead. Saw one pop up on CL last night for 2k and figured on calling on it today but didn't get a chance to call...

    Here we go again.........

I started out going to surgically remove the wet/rotted wood and quickly realized the sawzall was going to be my best friend. The transoms on these boats were built hell for stout and was a PIA to remove. I will get in this week and remove the last bulkhead and clean up the transom. Amazingly...

    Here we go again.........

Nate-Looks familiar that foam is a pia. My decks were really bowed from the foam expanding in fact it cracked some of the wood strips when it expanded. I was thinking about not putting it back but probably will. I would love to see how yours turns out!

Thanks for the info, originally when it left Anderson's yard it had twin 350's in it and when it was re-powered in about 2000 the tank was changed out to a 300 gal fiberglass so I should be good there. It is nice to know what the single 285hp does in that boat I will keep that in mind.

No offense taken........the Bay can be nasty this time of year with the rain washing all the crap from the delta down to the middle bay. Keep in mind also there is a lot of water moving in and out through the Gate everyday and it keeps the mud churned up.
