Pourable Transom on the West Coast

Went with some nice rich mahogany! Hydrotech marine ply for the transom instead of a fill! I'm excited this wood is quality!

Pourable Transom on the West Coast

Looks like the hull came from a 1965 sportsliner sportster, which is nearly identical to the glasspars!

Pourable Transom on the West Coast

Thanks for the distributor list for the Coosa boards. It's looking like a possibility as long as the 5'x12' boards aren't too pricey, seizing as I could get two transom boards to make up the 1.5"core from one board. Otherwise it's starting to look like a good ol' marine ply core!

Pourable Transom on the West Coast

Stringers are marine ply and construction grade studs, all fiberglassed and connected with stainless L joints and marine epoxy. Ill have to post some of the dimensions when I get out to work on her next!

Pourable Transom on the West Coast

I've got to Say agreed on the early Glaspar hull as well! thanks for the find on that one. Also I will most likely be picking up marine ply for the core on my next day off, so much for trying something new! I will say it did concern me that after filling the transom, in the future, it would be...

Pourable Transom on the West Coast

Alrighty, I'm on the tail end of a full rebuild. The entire rebuild I was going to go with a Seacast, Arjay, or Nida Core Pourable transom composite. I have looked through all the debates on pourable vs. wood core and originally decided to go with the pourable, in order to get a lighter more...

    15' Center Console rebuild

I bought this abandoned boat from craigslist for $650 I decided to jump on it after seeing the condition the engine was in. I figured worst case scenario if the hull was totaled after doing the demo work to get to it I could sell the engine for the dump fee and still profit. Once we cleaned her...
