This is my work, yes. I'd be happy to build you a stick, but please be aware that I'm backed up for about 8 weeks or so.

I'm sorry to ask such a lengthy question, but I hope you can easily answer, or direct me to a tutorial, somewhere. If you don't have time to answer, no sweat, thanks anyway. Mike Nichols "Ironmike"

Haha, the post keeps giving me error, too long a post. Do I leave the butt cap on as I do when sliding on rear foam then take of butt cap, shrink X-tube around end and trim and then glue on butt cap? That sounds logical, but I don't want to make mistakes and have to cut stuff off. I can't find any tutorials on this exact procedure..

I know you are the SD expert, seen many of your rods with blue X-shrink. what do you do first/ shrink on X, then put butt hype in place, then do shrink? and does there need to be, say, rubber cement between shrink and hyp.?

I've enjoyed your rods since the old days, when you wrapped in the store in Lakside. I've wrapped as a hobby and side job for 40 years but just repairs and customs for friends. Got a request to put X shrink over hypolon on a custom rod today. I don't know the sequesce to do this.

Hello Bob, thanks for the nice comments. Not exactly sure what rods of mine you were looking at up there. Most of the work I've done for Bill the last couple of years were donated to special causes.

If you want a dvd on the marbling techniques, just give me your mailing address.

        Regards,
        JT
