  • Recently retired so I'm open for any day of the week....love fishing the kelp for calico's. Been chasing the saltwater fish for forty years and love it. I have a 26 Shamrock with a tower and I can't lift it up by myself, plus its not the best thing for fishing calicos tight in the kelp. I am retired but not a geezer.... lucky to retire at 55....also in the paint business.

HI Jim, My name is Rusty. How do you feel about fishing the bay (SD)? The bay is a quantity over quality until the bite outside heats up. There is always the kelp but if you don't fish it much it can be a costly and frustrating learning curve. You buy the bait (half a scoop) and I'll cover the gas. You spend $20 bucks for gas if we don't buy bait. Let me know what you think...
saw your post today. I work construction and have a 19' CC, should have a bit of time off this year... Seen you fishing Pt. Loma and the bay many times. Would love to plan a baja trip or chase yellows any day I can. 949-748-0021 Tyler

H Tyler, I work construction also. This rain screws things up at work and on the water. I like the idea of a Baja trip. My name is Rusty... 619-890-3900
