Up for sale is a 2003 Triumph 210 center console along with a matching 2017 EZ-loader trailer. The Triumph has a Yamaha ox66 150 fuel injected motor that purrs like a kitten. We regularly did 100 mile trips last season and hooked into all the pelagic favorites. This rig comfortably fishes 4 offshore and can take 8 adults around for cruising the bay. It has been a fantastic family and fishing boat, but we caught the bug and want to go slightly bigger.
Specs:
21’ length and 8.5’ beam
70 gallon fuel tank
30 or 36 gallon bait tank (holds ½ to 1 scoop of bait all day.
4 good size storage/ kill hatches and 1 monster hatch near the bow.
Anchor/ rode
VHF Radio
Nav lights, etc:
Upgrades and Maintenance:
October 2020 – new water pump, vst filter battery switch, twin optima blue top batteries installed, new VHF, significant wiring cleanup
November 2020 – New Wash-down pump (not fully installed – it scares me where the factory washdown pump is located, near the batteries), new bilge pump, new bait pump
February 2021 – new lighting and wiring
March 2021 - New Thermostat, fuel filter, spark plugs, 02 sensor, full motor flush and clean
April 2022 – rough idle diagnosed and resolved to fouled plugs, compression tested at 120 on all 6 cylinders
January 2023 – TPS sensor replaced, motor decarbonized, injectors removed and placed in ultrasonic cleaner, VST, Fuel Filter, new spark plugs
We probably spent about 2500 in maintenance over about 3 years, right along the “10% of the boat cost in maintenance” guidelines, which were pretty accurate.
Early 2022 upgraded fishing electronics to a brand new Garmin 94SV, still under West Marine warranty, all SoCal fishing spots uploaded. This was a huge game changer, especially for rockfishing.
The bad:
Bottom paint is old, but the boat sits on a trailer, so we never re-did it
Some of the latches don’t function
Wear on the leaning post backrest cushion.
VHF Antenna is half the size it should be, but still has good range.
Hours meter on the motor doesn’t, has never worked. However It is a strong, healthy motor with good compression numbers and regular offshore use.
All in all, this is a really great, comfortable, safe, dry ride that can take a beating and get you on the bluefin/ dorado, yellowtail, or whatever you want. It gets just north of 2 mpg. Ive spent the majority of the last 3 years fishing it offshore, spearfishing from it, and taking my family for cruises. Boat has had all the socal species on deck. We are really going to miss this ride, I think it’s a solid value for someone who wants to get offshore with their buddies, and it can be towed with a light truck. My friend tows it with a 4runner no problem.
