Fly Navarro travels the world fishing and learning. In his Fly Zone Fishing videos, he shares his knowledge and those of experts in the business with us. In this video, he is joined by Pete Shultz of Fishing Headquarters and they are demonstrating how to tie the dropper loop knot.
The dropper loop knot is a handy knot for light duty bottom fishing. Anglers can use this knot to tie multiple loops to which you can attach your hook to make a bottom fishing rig. A bank sinker is added to the bottom of the rig using an over-sized loop so that the sinker can be changed to adjust to conditions like wind and current.
You can build a multi-hook bottom rig using the dropper loop.
Fly Navarro will take us to the “Fly Zone” with his vast knowledge and list of fishing connections. Visit his Fly Zone Fishing site or Facebook to learn more or to ask Fly a question.
