Don’t throw away that old chamois when its absorbing powers have faded. I dip them is salt water and lay them over my rigged baits to keep them moist overnight.
This improves their flexibility and helps them to swim right away.
I often use them under the rigged baits as well. It is important to soak them is saltwater first, as you do not want freshwater to soften your bait. Always make sure your bait cooler is draining melted ice water away.
