The 2012, inaugural Race To PEI contest was such a huge success that we’re doing it again!
This contest could really not be any simpler, all you have to do is register and you will be automatically entered to win the bluefin tuna trip of a lifetime to Canada’s Prince Edward Island, home to some of the largest bluefin in the world.
You don’t need to be a member of BD, you just need to be at least 21 years old, and in good health because these giant tuna will test your limits!
The contest includes three days of fishing with Capt.Tony McDonald from Tony’s Tuna Fishing, airfare and transfers from Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami or New York, all accommodations, meals, tips, tackle and fishing expenses. The dates for the trip are from August 20-24, fishing on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd — right at the peak of the bluefin bite.
The waters off the coast of Canada’s Prince Edward Island provide the best opportunity in the world to battle giant bluefin tuna. These storied fishing grounds aren’t the easiest to get to, or the cheapest… Until now.
Sound too good to be true? Well, just take a look at this video of last year’s big winner, Michael Medina from Los Angeles. Michael had never caught a fish over 50 pounds when he struck gold and won the free trip to PEI in 2012. Now, Michael can say he’s caught a 750-pound tuna!
