We are looking forward to the Albacore Tuna Tournament, which will also include a Salmon Derby plus the IGFA Kids’ Passport to Fishing Derby on August 5th and 6th.
The Washington Tuna Classic (WTC) Team consists of Ryan Elwell, President of Mission Outdoors, Shannan Hansen, Executive Director of Mission Outdoors, and Fly Navarro, owner of “Fly Zone” and publisher of “Catch 2020,” which highlights 60 of the best saltwater inshore tournaments. Coastal Food Banks receives all the fish caught after processing and canned by Merinos Seafood – approximately 5,000 pounds.

Some comments from the Veterans who have attended the Mission Outdoors “Hope Grows Outdoors” event –
It’s about family!
“Mission Outdoors, to me, is a family. They ask how I’m doing. They’ve gone out of their way to do things that other organizations have never done,” He continued, “Just … thank you. Thank you for what everyone is doing for us, for helping us succeed in doing things that we’ve lost but can still be part of and do.” …Shane
I thought to myself; I have these skills. I can help get my brothers and sisters out of their pain.
“With Mission Outdoors, I can do something I’ve been dreaming about for my whole disabled life. This event is not just a one-time experience; it is a family. You come on a trip with us, and you become part of the family. You can call me any time, and I will answer.”…Matt
