The Santa Barbara Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association of California (CCA CAL) will continue its plan to host the 1st Annual Goleta Bay Blowout on August 15th, but with a new format to make it work in these crazy times. Check out the details below and join the fun for a great cause!
Due to current local COVID-19 restrictions, the chapter has changed the format and has turned it into a virtual photo contest. Any participant can submit their photos between 6 am to 2 pm local time. Judging for this event will be held online via the Discord mobile app, as all pictures of fish can be submitted via the app on the thread titled “goletabayblowout”.
More detailed instructions on how to get connected and to learn how to post submissions in the right place can be found at www.ccacalifornia.org/goletabayblowout. Winners will be designated by the total length of all fish caught and submitted via Discord, and winners will be announced at 6 pm PST.
All anglers are welcome to participate and submit photos as there is no limitation as to where anglers can fish or any species they can fish for.
However, all rules and regulations designated by the local and state governing agencies in your area must be followed to qualify.
Registration to participate in the Goleta Bay Blowout is $25 and is available at www.ccacalifornia.org. All proceeds will be going to CCA California to continue to fight for your right to fish.
Please visit www.ccacalifornia.org/goletabayblowout for more information, the event rules, and instructions on how to connect with the CCA Santa Barbara Chapter on Discord.
