CCA CAL Names New Assistant Director

Coastal Conservation Association of California (CCA CAL) has added Chris Arechaederra as Assistant Director. He joins Wayne Kotow, Executive Director of CCA CAL, and will help with growing CCA CAL’s presence in California along with developing future chapters.

Fishing has always been a part of his life since childhood, fishing up and down the coast from Channel Islands, all the way down into Baja Mexico.
Chris comes over from Black Diamond Sportfishing, a 6-pack charter operation out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from San Diego State University. His background includes marketing, promotions, communications and public relations.

“I’m super grateful to be here and to be a part of the CCA CAL team. I can’t wait to get started, to work with Wayne and the numerous volunteers that run this organization,” Arechaederra said. “With all of the great work that CCA CAL has already done for the greater fishing community, I hope to only expand upon those accomplishments.”

The Assistant Director position will be responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, social media, membership, fundraising and chapter development.
