Daiwa Saltiga

Daiwa Saltiga Star Drag Reels

Daiwa’s Saltiga SD is the top predator in the Daiwa star drag series of reels. This series was introduced early 2016 in a 10 and 15 size. New for 2016-17 the larger series of reels have arrived. Saltiga has added these new sizes 20H, 30H, 35H, 40H and 50H size in a 6.4:1 gear ratio picking up almost 40 inches per crank. You will also notice in the line up a larger 40A and 50A sizes in a lower 5.1:1 gear ratio. Saltiga SD uses one-piece frame and side-plate design with a machined handle side- plate providing extreme precision and zero frame flex when using braided line like Daiwa J-Braid. In addition to the precision of this reel we have incorporated our gear polishing technique Digigear ™. The machined aluminum free-floating spool provides quick spool inertia for further more manageable casting. Pair that up with the internal centrifugal cast control and you will grab your Saltiga SD out of the rod holder every time.
