Costa’s three new sunglass styles — Caye, Las Olas and Peninsula — showcase three destinctively new shapes for the venerable company. The ladies will definitely be taking notice of these new glasses.
Caye, pronounced “key,” is the Spanish word for any small, sandy island formed on a reef. It’s also the natural habitat of these versatile full-frame wayfarers. Flexible yet sturdy stainless steel hinges and no-slip Hydrolite nose pads provide all-day forget-they’re-on comfort, while looking good. And like all Costa glasses the Caye will help you see more fish on the water. Caye is available in tortoise, black and white frame colors.
Las Olas is appropriately translated as “waves,” which fits right in with Costa’s company mantra of making a home on the ocean. The new style features an oval shape, nylon frame with Hydrolite nose pads and no-rust stainless steel hinges. It’s available in tortoise, black and the new coral/white combination frame colors.
Peninsula rounds out the stylish new set. These full-framed rectangular-shaped sunglasses offer wire core temples and stainless spring hinges, and are available in tortoise, black and black/coral.
All three new styles are available in Costa’s patented 580P or 580G lenses, as well as Rx. Costa’s 100-percent polarized 580 lenses block yellow light from entering the eye, creating sharp color enhancement and “superior visual acuity,” while eliminating glare. Lens color options include gray, copper, amber, blue mirror, green mirror and silver mirror.
The new Costa styles range in price from $169 to $249, depending on customized lens choice. To find an authorized Costa retail outlet, visit www.costadelmar.com/shop-instore, or shop online at www.costadelmar.com.
