When it comes to going deep with a side scanning sonar, there is only one brand that fits the bill, Furuno. However, we set out to show you a side-by-side comparison of Furuno’s DFF3D Multi-Beam Sonar, along with Side Scan Sonar from our competitors.

We tested the systems in deep, mid-level, and shallow water, but we started the test at the Marathon Hump, in waters 500 feet to 1,000 feet deep. The DFF3D Multi-Beam Sonar was able to not only see the bottom at 1,000 feet, but it was displaying fish down to 800 feet.

The question is, what did the competitor Side Scan Sonars see? You may be surprised to see the differences between all the different Side Scan Sonars.

New episodes will be released each week throughout the Spring and Summer of 2020. Catch up now and subscribe today at www.YouTube.com/FurunoVideo. You can also visit Furuno on the web at www.FurunoUSA.com.
