Taking care of a boat involves wearing many hats.
Ensuring that every plumbing seal is done right helps make your boat seaworthy and safe.
When doing boat plumbing, use a sealing compound for threaded connections. You might be working on bait tanks, seacocks, or washdown systems. Any one of these can cause issues or worst case, sink your boat!
I use Leak Lock or similar products to ensure a good, lasting seal. It is removable but makes a firm connection. Give it an hour or so to set up before putting water pressure on it.
Oh and pull up your pants, you’re giving plumbers a bad rap.
