BD OUTDOORS, BLAIR WIGGINS DESCEND ON FRED HALL SHOW
The Fred Hall Show, taking place this week in Long Beach, CA, is where it all began for BD Outdoors. So, every year, we embark on the pilgrimage to this fantastic venue and make our presence known.
Coming every year at the start of the Southern California fishing season, the FHS show is a welcomed annual ceremony where anglers start thinking about fixing tackle, replacing lost gear and getting ready for the upcoming season.
For retailers and manufacturers, the show offers an outstanding platform to launch and showcase new products, promote incredible deals and answer consumer questions.
This year, BD Outdoors is excited to host our annual scavenger hunt, back by popular demand. We're also selling our cherished BD Swag including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and more. In fact, we're offering a 25% discount on all BD Swag at our booth and in our online store during the show!
Many professional fishermen and television personalities will be at the show. Blair Wiggins, host of television show Addictive Fishing and a friend of BD Outdoors, is making his first trip to the Fred Hall Show. Blair just filmed two episodes in Catalina Island and San Clemente where he fished for calico bass and other species. It was his first time fishing in Southern California.
“The kelp fishing blew me away,” said Blair. “We caught calico bass up to 6 pounds. It reminded me a lot of fishing for peacock bass. I'm glad I got to experience it one time in my life.”
The two episodes are expected to air in June.
Blair will be at the Wright & McGill booth at the Fred Hall Show to promote the new Trokar Hooks by Eagle Claw. The show special, he says, allows people to buy two packs of the hooks and get one free.
Wright & McGill is also the parent company of the Blair Wiggins Flats Blue Signature rods, and Blair will be on hand to demonstrate them. At the show, fishermen who buy one Flats Blue jigging or offshore rod get one inshore rod for free.
“I've heard it's a big show,” Blair said as he made his way there. “I can't wait to visit all the dealers and see about getting the Flats Blue rod into more places on the West Coast.”
