fishing sunglasses

Costa debuted a new pair of performance sunglasses to kick off the new year, the Double Haul. Constructed with the serious angler in mind, the Double Haul features Costa's patented vent system on the front of the frame to alleviate lens fog while providing full eye coverage to give the angler a wide range of vision while on the water.

Thanks to the Hydrolite no-slip nose pads, sturdy integral hinges and durable co-injected molded temples for a comfortable “forget-they're-on” fit, you can wear these shades all day without any fatigue. The frames are available in three colors including tortoise, black and the new translucent crystal frame.

Anglers can customize the lenses in the Double Haul. The glasses are available with Costa's high-performance 580 lenses in either glass or polycarbonate. The 580 lenses block yellow light at 580 nanometers on the light spectrum, resulting in a high level of polarization and color enhancement. In simpler terms, these lenses help you see more fish and objects through the water. The 580 color options include gray, copper, amber and blue, green and silver mirror. You can also have perscription lenses put in the Double Haul.

The new style will retail from $179 to $249 depending on lens customization, and is available online at and at authorized Costa retail outlets.

Developed by anglers in 1983, Costa has become the leading manufacturer of polarized performance sunglasses. Costa offers superior lens technology and unparalleled fit and durability. Still handcrafted today in Florida, Costa says it "creates the highest quality, best performing sunglasses on the planet for outdoor enthusiasts."

For Costa, conservation is all about sustainable fishing. Many fisheries that should be vibrant and healthy are all but devoid of native fish because they have fallen victim to poor fishing practices, unregulated development, lack of watershed protection or all of the above. Costa works with partners around the world to help increase awareness and influence policy so that both the fish and fishermen of tomorrow will have healthy waters to enjoy. Costa encourages others to help in any way they can.
