PENN recently launched a new social sharing app on the PENN official Facebook page called War Stories. Anglers can submit their favorite fishing stories, photos and YouTube videos to share with friends or check out stories posted by other anglers through the app. Additionally, users can earn badges for getting “likes” to a story, sharing with friends or posting from multiple locations.
Each week PENN will pick one angler’s story to feature on the PENN profile picture and the brand will post a link to the wall for the community to read.
To submit a story, anglers just need to go to PENN’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pennfishing, click on the War Stories app located below the PENN profile picture, select the location for the catch and post their pictures or video. PENN also gives select anglers with entertaining stories the chance to field-test product so they can share their stories with the community.
“We are excited for anglers to have a way to share their experiences with their friends and the PENN community,” said Chris Derrick, PENN Brand Marketing Manager. “This app will allow anglers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the PENN fishing culture and they even can find stories posted by their friends by clicking on the ‘My Friends’ link inside the main stories gallery.”
The PENN facebook page is a one-stop shop for all things PENN related where anglers of any level can come and log in for product giveaways, special promotions, pro tips and PENN updates. Plus, anglers can communicate directly with PENN employees and pro staff through Facebook about the product or fishing conditions.
