Wow, what a week this has been……

On Wednesday Alex pulled his new boat out of the workshop that she has resided in for over 18 months, he bought her home and parked her in the front yard, I was amazed that she fitted perfectly….

Today I taught class knowing that Alex wanted to launch her today but I had to wait and hope that the little fixit jobs took him some time, I got lucky and even though my class ran late today when I drove up the road there was Alex and our good friend Gene just about to go to the launch ramp for her maiden voyage…….

    So here it is…….

    Alex has named his boat…..

    X treme…….

If ever there was a more appropriate name….:)

I’ve seen a lot of blood and sweat over the past months and today tears of joy as X treme took to the water……..

She was flawless, the motors fired up the first time, she purred……

Cruised out of Huntington Harbor after talking to a few other boaters …

Once we cleared the harbor Alex decided to test her out……

    Over 40 knots……………….

That was not full power, there will be a lot more equipment, system and functionality test tomorrow…..

This machine flies, nobody has been able to wipe the smile off their faces today, Alex said his jaw hurt tonight from smiling…..

We put her through her paces up the inside of LA harbor and then out through Angels Gate….unreal….

We’ll be testing the bait tank system, auto pilot, rear steering station, washdown station, radar system and anchor/windlass tomorrow, Alex wants to wet a line too….:)

I messed up and forgot to get the champagne………

    More pics tomorrow...

Great Job Neil and Alex--Sure looks familiar but with new additions. I know it was a labor of love.

One question---Will you have a ladder for those that are upwardly mobile challenged so that they can get their arse up over the rail and onto the deck when on the trailer???? LOL
