    Hey guys,

I think it is time to upgrade my camera..

What suggestions can you offer for a camera that will hold up to the offshore enviroment ?

It seems like a lot of the digital cameras don't have view finders any more. Are you able to see the digital screens in sunlight ?

    I'm looing for a camera under $ 400.00

    Thank you for your suggestions

    Jeff

Jeff I just got the New Sony TX10. Its waterproof and touch screen.

Here are the pics I just took from our Nov 2-12 Long range trip on the Q I took with it. Its actually 16.2 MP but I reduced the file sizes for these pics.

The pictures in the bait tank are underwater.

    After looking at ...
    http://www.cameralabs.com/buyers_guide/budget_DSLRs/best_budget_DSLR.shtml for a few options.

I think these are the two that would be good boat cameras.

Like the Image Stabilization features and a big image in a smaller hand held camera. I've had very poor luck handing my Android phone to people for a photo of me with a catch. A real camera with a simple "Push the Button" request to get a real result.

I'm considering one of these two...
