I have Volvo Penta DP-H outdrive (D4-260), it’s time to replace gear oil for the first time. Would like your opinion on synthetic gear oil by Royal Purple vs. Luca Oil (75W-90 GL5). Which one is better in regards to long lasting, lubrication and ware? Have you used any one you recommend and why? Oil is expensive $15 (Lucas) $20 (RP) per qtr. have not used RP but used Lucas as motor oil additives... Thanks for your feedback...
