What is the difference between the Japanese made Sealines and Sealines made elsewhere. Has anyone here compred the internals of these reels? Are they the same quality?

In my experience it's been a non-issue.. I've been happy with my Daiwa gear, one of my favorites is a 153HSTA made in Thailand..

In the SLX, the only change I have noticed since their introduction is a clicking star on newer models. I dont know if its an indicator of where it was manufactured or not. I can not tell the difference between my old (JPN) and new (Thai) SLX's.
