    Hi BDers,

Just wondering if any of you have been fishing off of Kauai during the first half of May. I found an operation called "Deep Sea Fishing Kauai" that seems to be legit. Any recommendations on where to go, what to expect?

    Thanks in advance!

You have a good pick with Captn J. Port Allen isn't too far from Poipu so you are good. May might be a little early for Ahi maybe the locals will chime in. Aztec alum myself!:urno1:

There are Aku's and Koshibi's starting to come up at the bouys. We caught 30 of them last weekend (04/07), that makes a steady day of fun. There has been some 100 lb Ahi taken on both the west and east side of the island so the bigger fish are slowly comming in. You 'll find good action in May.

Recommend C-Lure Charters, hooked up with them last Thursday. Ono knock down on one flat line then Hooked up on other flat line with 30# Ono. Boat in excellent condition, Australian power cat that their version of the Coast Guard use, boat in excellent condition, good gear and local knowledge. Listed on Google $150/ person for half day if not renting entire boat. Crew very friendly. Owned by retired Miami Dolphin lineman. Sails out of Lihue. Aloha
