Just heard about the Sea Adventure 2 running into a rock at South Island. Heard the passengers were rescued and the boat was towed in.
Anyone have anymore news on this?

SAN DIEGO - A chartered fishing boat from San Diego ran into a rock with 26 people on board Friday morning.

It happened at about 1:20 a.m. off the coast of northern Mexico on South Coronado Island.

Phil Lobred, owner of H&M Landing where the boat is docked, says the vessel hit a rock, which put a bowling ball-size hole in the hull.

The Coast Guard got a mayday call from the Sea Adventure II when the 62-foot fishing boat started taking on water.

Two private boats in the area and the San Diego Harbor Police also moved in to help with the rescue along with a Coast Guard helicopter.

The harbor patrol shuttled 21 passengers and one of the five crew members off the boat and onto a Coast Guard Cutter.

Four crew members and three Coast Guard officers stayed with the boat to help pump out water and stay ahead of the flooding.

The boat was towed 15-miles back to a marina in National City. The passengers were taken back to the charter's base at H&M Landing near Shelter Island.
