Re: Lost my boat
Last year after i launched my boat in oceanside my wife was parking the truck and i tied to the dock. the wife came down the gangway and we both heard a LOUD Crash. we ran to the top of the gangway to look down at a boat missing the water by 15 feet. needless to say the guy was very upset. after seeing that i NEVER unhook the ring till the motors are in the water. Sorry about your Boat.

Re: Lost my boat
I forgot the plug about a month ago at Guess where...Oceanside launch. That place is cursed. When i parked the truck and was walking to the boat, i looked at it and thought...man that dont look right, just then it dawned on me the severe sag was because my boat was filling up with water. I ran my ass off to get to the truck and get the boat on the trailer. When i pulled it out i sat there for 10 minutes draining water out. The guys next to me just laughed...said he did that last week. Which proves the point.....WE ALL GET OUR TURN!!!

Re: Lost my boat
by any chance does your trailer have rollers or was it low tide or real steep ramp? thats the only time i worrry about taking the saftey chain off before the boat is in the water..... sorry about your day!

Re: Lost my boat
Shit--really sorry to hear that--we all do things like that sometime.
I've been thru a lot of severe things with my boats over the years--we all have--it looks huge now--but you'll get it fixed and back on the water sooner then you think.
I'd be curious to hear how you got it back on the trailer--did you wait for the tide, or push it into the water, or jack or winch it up somehow?NO WORRIES

I hope the repairs are minor Jeff.

The only thing that can happen is bad, boats and concrete don't mix. I have seen it before in O'side, 4:30 am and an 18' trihull 25' from the water..........blocking a busy ramp:104167739 No buenoMark on the Stonefish
