what is your favorite reel for wahoo fishing.
got a ten day next year and im tryin to get started with the gear a lil early. a lot of people tell me a trinidad 40 or 40 n but will i need to upgrade the drag first or is it ok out of the box. other suggestions will be appreciated. i have seen the avet jx 6/3 2 speed has anyone used this for the hoos and how did it work .
thanx in advance.

I use an Accurate 665XN as far as the specs it is a great reel for the Hoo, It will pick up 50 inches of line with a single turn of the handle, It has plenty of drag, It has good capacity incase you catch the "wrong kind"
some of the cons might be it is a little hard to crank in my opinion and a little pricey.
I'm happy with mine, but am looking to TRY something else this year.Brandon

A Torium or Trinidad 20 sized reel. 44 inches of line per crank, get's lots of bites. The Trinidad 40 doesn't get as many bites IMO, due to being slower. But if you hook that right fish on the wrong gear syndrome, the Trinidad 40 would be your friend.
