aw.....crap.

we were supposed to have a forced power outage at work last weekend...(I was up in Long Beach)...and before you go thinking "no big deal".....well, we run payroll, grades, and Student Information Systems for most of the 42 school districts in San Diego County...along with internet service. supposed to be 365/24/7. ...and to shut down the Data Center IS REALLY a big deal.

So, we planned it, took all of our precautions to protect our equipment, (more than you might think), and were all ready for the outage.......only to find out that at the last minute, SDGE somehow did not have all the correct parts to install. So, after all we did, it never went off. (we are billing them for all the hours we spent getting ready)

Now they told us its going to happen on March 31.

When I told my boss today that my trip got postponed, he said "let me guess......weekend of the 31st."

uh, yeah.

I am SO glad that my boss likes me...... I will be aboard.

Chris,
I don't have problem bringing a bunch of fish to be smoked. Just let me know. You are more than likely better at it than me. Dang Mikey I was reading through your post and getting worried I was going to be the only Ed's guy on the bow.

If you have it and don't mind doing it, that would be fantastic! We could put it out with one of the afternoon snacks!

(And thanks! )
