We have been coming to PV for 15 years, have owned a place in Bucerias for 6 years and have had NOT ONE bad experience. Have fished out of the PV Marina, La Cruz, Mita and Sayulita. Surf fished from (secret place south of PV) all the way to (secret place north of PV) Have chartered out of Mita more than 30 times, mostly with Erasmo, and have only been skunked one time (but in all fairness, we turned around at the rock because of a hurricane on the way) Have caught dozens of Tuna, (still waiting for a cow), 30 Kilo Roosters, and 14 different species. Have ocean kayaks with fish finders, gps, etc, and love to paddle out for bottom fish. We have a group of avid fisherman that return a couple of times a year, and except for a little over-indulging on the margaritas...that's another story.
We bring our young daughters with us to Bucerias, and I am more comfortable having them go to a local bar than I would be here in Norther California. The food is great, the fishing is normally spectacular, and the people are friendly. What more could you ask for?

I can't find a whole lot (anything) bad to say about PV personally. The six-years I have been coming here (latest round for a month for a work project) has left me with nothing less than a burning desire to spend even more time here. I stayed all month in a little Mexican neighborhood called Colosso, I ate int he market almost daily with the locals, I ate their tacos almost nightly for dinner on the streets, and too much of their Cervezas and Reposada....and never felt anything besides regret for the day I had to go home. (Today)
So come to pv- drink til it hurts...and then do it again.>>> "AND CATCH A REALLY BEEG FUGGING FISH AMIGO!" and don't forget to "Tip until it hurts!!!" these people appreciate it and bust their balls for you if you are not a totally obnoxious gringo.
:-D
Hasta Pronto Vallarta!

Well where can I start. I have been going down for 6 years now and a few years I was there every month possible. I have met many great people in PV and La Cruz. My first days I was pounding the docks and looking to fish with anyone. I met a mello guy named Erik who put me on some Dorado and Tuna. Then I met Josh for a day on the Grady with Shrek. Then I was hooked up with Manny and Tony who are a great team. Then Manny was booked solid so I met the Osuna family who have always done me right. A few days in the mix with Juan Pablo a stand up guy. Then a few days with Josh on some nice Cabo and Maximo trips. A trip with Danny Lulu and Salty for a nice cow. That being said many thanks to the deckhands who worked their asses off for me on many a trips (Alvino, Senate, Mannys crew, Salty, Hector, Moto Sierra, Ben etc). I must say I have more good times down there and have only had a few bad issues which will happen anywhere. Thanks for all the good times and to all who I may not have mentioned who have helped me along the way. I have caught many big Tuna and Marlin down there and will keep going back even if I most likely will never catch another Cow that is over 411. Thanks again to the people who make it happen on land also like maids who eat a ton of my fish and all the young and up in coming kids in La Cruz and OV. The future is bright and Josh can always be found on another site if he can't come back here! Here are a few of my pictures of my years down in paradisio
