I like the safety strap. Just a thought on getting pulled over...... If you feel there is a risk of this or you get pulled over put the clicker ON BEFORE free spool or you will backlash and be pulled to davies locker. Some stand up (Harness) guys on small boats fish with the clicker on for this reason.
Pete have you ever tried that same rig with a straight butt? It allows for more lifting power in the harness due to the angle of tha dangle and all that good stuff.
