Grilled asparagus
Grilled asparagus
Pretty simple. Clean and prep (cut or snap to length).
Saute fresh minced garlic in olive oil to season the oil, then let the oil cool.
Coat the asparagus in the garlic olive oil, then salt and pepper.
When the other food on the grill has been done and removed, put the asparagus on the hot part of the grill. Turn every 30 seconds for 2-4 minutes depending on how hot the grill is. Don't let it burn (actually, I like it burned just a tad!). Since this cooks quickly, it is the last food item cooked as it needs to be served warm.
Squeeze fresh lime juice on the asparagus and serve right away.
You can also eliminate the olive oil and take 3 pcs of asparagus, bundle them and wrap in one piece of bacon. Use a toothpick to hold the bacon in place at both ends of the bundle. When the bacon is crisp, the asparagus is done. Use lime as well.
