marlin fishing tip
the warm water is on the beach from la jolla to san onofre, my best marlin fishing is mid september to mid october around del mar within 2 to 8 miles max from the beach, the canyon holds alot of sardines mackeral and squid, DONT OVER SHOOT THE FISH.

last year jumper then zzzzzzzzzzzzzz 30 min later release and one happy angler.Remember the year they were fixing the pipe we had marlin all over it that was a very good time.

Actually, last season there was an entire fleet pulling on marlin within a mile or two of the beach off La Jolla. It's not uncommon for it to occur off Oceanside / San Clemente as well. The northbound current runs close to shore through that stretch. Doesn't happen all the time, but not uncommon.
