Where are the Yellow Tail

Thinking about heading out this weekend. Is it true Yellow tail are on the back side of Catalina?

i hit 6 yesterday 3 in the 40 pound range 2 in like 5 to 10 pound and the last fish of the day was a 58 pounder i was using a iron on a trout rod with 10 pound test it was great it was on the back side on by the silver canyon in about 50 to 100 feet

It is true there are always yellowtail around,getting them to bite,well,thats another story.

very true we got lucky and saw them eating sardines on the surface and just stared pitching lures at them i saw a really really big on but didnt bitee almost got it to bite but it would chace but turn away it looked like it was from 60 to 80 pounder
